For Kinetic Typography Project 2 (Fall 2022), we had to choose a company or organization and animate a phrase that represented them well. I chose to animated “Enjoy your coffee break with Merit” for Merit Coffee, based in Texas. The animation has a rustic, yet professional and personal feel that captures Merit’s voice. They truly care about the craft of their products while also creating a fun environment, and the animation is able to briefly show that to the viewer.
There’s nothing better than mixing modern psychedelia with traditional Malian music.

For my second project in the Image 2 elective class at Auburn, we were asked to redesign the cover of an existing album, as well as a printed insert. I chose to redesign the album “Ali” by Khruangbin and Viex Farka Touré, a collaborative effort to honor the late Ali Farka Touré. The design of this album is representative of the rich history and culture of this music. We then created a short animated advertisement to promote the album.

The Banana Museum is an existing museum in California that recently celebrated their 45th anniversary in 2021. The project is a rebrand of their identity, introducing a new logo and a minimal color palette. An advertising campaign was paired with the rebrand, inviting viewers to visit the museum and celebrate the museums anniversary. The campaign was developed for 3 mediums– digital, print, and outdoor advertising. The advertisements use striking, yet minimal colors to draw the viewer in. The typography is hand-done, making the graphics unique and specific to the museum.

Tous Les Jours is a coffee company dedicated to giving you the best brew. “Tous les jours” is French for “every day,” and the company’s mission is to provide you with coffee so good, you’ll want to drink it every day. The identity for Tous Les Jours was developed along with a packaging suite consisting of three items: a box for espresso glasses, a bag for coffee beans, and a tag for an espresso maker. The color palette is meant to visualize the flavor of the coffee; hints of citrus and hazelnut in a warm drink that will give you the energy you need to get the day started. The bold typography and bright colors make the packaging stand out, making it easily recognizable on any store shelf.
